Living Room Inspiration: Bleubird
In recent years, I’ve found myself getting hooked on “Mom Blogs”. Discovering these work-from-home moms and their wonderful lives at home with their kids is as unhealthy as an addictive TV series. You find yourself constantly checking in for new episodes on their kids’ lives, swear by their kitchen recipes and go starry-eyed over their brand new sofa or blender.
Bleubird’s James Kicinski-McCoy was one of the first moms I stayed up late for, unable to peel my eyes off her gorgeous visuals and content. As with her outfits and styling, her modern home in Nashville carries hints of vintage touches, which I adore. Mind you, this super-mom has 4 young kids under her belt, and still manages to make her living room look like this:
The large floor space and high ceilings must have made decorating and furnishing tricky, but hasn't Bleubird done a wonderful job in making the room kid-happy and stylish? I especially love the oversized and bold prints hanging above small, unassuming armchairs and side tables.
But of course, nothing beats her adorable toddlers as subjects of her photos.
Bleubird cooks, cleans, writes and owns Mother Magazine, all in this living space. Now that is one cool mom.
